In this role, Brittany led the development of the district-wide equity plan, oversaw the Voluntary Interdistrict Choice Corporation (VICC) program, and supervised district social work services. Her work in public education intersected with nationally debated conversations on curriculum and educational equity, bringing broader attention to her leadership and approach.

Leveraging this experience, she co-founded Empathy in Equity with New York Times bestselling author Nic Stone, advancing national conversations on empathy as a tool for educational and organizational change.

Brittany was later appointed by St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones to serve on the St. Louis Public Schools Board of Education. She also served as the inaugural Manager for the Center for Human Service Leadership at Delmar DivINe, supporting cross-sector initiatives focused on social innovation and community impact.
